Although the Dreamcast port was cancelled, the Windows version was released as a standalone product on Jfor Windows. Blue Shift was the second expansion for Half-Life, originally intended as part of a Dreamcast port of Half-Life.

So is that said, is an interesting effort but definietly iвЂ™d preffer to play another more crative mod in Gold SCR than this one.Half-Life: Blue Shift is an expansion pack for the first-person shooter video game Half-Life (1998). So I feel this dreamcast mod the same, the only thing changing for me is the croshair and the models of the Houndeyes and the Vortigaunts those are the most relevant ones and tahtвЂ™s it.

and when I did it, even knowing that the difference on that valve remake is that the models spit yellow blood with my shootings and they donвЂ™t blow when you smash their bodies with your crowbar pal, and the water reflection is the same as the source effect, thatвЂ™s all, I got bored playing the HL1 poor source remake., By the way does anyone knows why there arenвЂ™t mods for that specific HL1 Valve source remake? iвЂ™d sincerely would appreciate the explain of that. I even was interested in play HL1 source the valve remake with just some dynamics and graphs from the Source eng. I have no doubts this is definitely for Real hard ass fans, I mean I maybe found replayability value in the original HL1 in 20 years more or so when iвЂ™ve alredy played the HL4 and thereвЂ™s not much mods toplay anymore lol, and therfore I get nostalgic, but not know. If you have the original Half Life youвЂ™ve already played it and the visual differences are so minor as to be valueless if you have played the original!!!!ДЄt the end of the day this is a totally pointless exercise,ДЇun - You need Half Life to run it so youвЂ™ve already played it, so you already know it is fun because IT IS HALF LIFEДЄll the team behind it have proved, is they can convert from one gaming platform to another!!! I really canвЂ™t see how its possible to rate this, as it is not the original creation of the team who converted it, you need the original Half Life to run it. I got as far as about half way through вЂќ On a RailвЂќ before thinking вЂњwhy am I bothering with this?вЂќ. I downloaded, installed and ran this, but when it became obvious this was the Half Life IвЂ™ve already played MANY times and after finding no really obvious difference, I switched on the the cheats. Am I missing the point here? IвЂ™m sure our dear friend Barnz will tell me, as from looking at the HLDC readme, he was involved in it! Now it has been made into a mod to run on a PC for which you need Half Life to play it. Ok! If IвЂ™ve got this right, this is Half Life that was intended for the Dreamcast and is as near as damn it identical. The Replay Experience Experiment aka TREE.
